This is our last day here in Baguio City. I will surely miss the place, its cold weather, warm people, ube jam, strawberries, night market and spooky vibe in the hotel. hehe!

I've always admire the beauty of camouflage patterns and designs that’s why this cropped long sleeves is a grabber and a scene stealer as well. Hehe!

My vacation in Philippines: Baguio day 2

My day two in Baguio City is full of excitement and extraordinary journey… My second time to try horseback riding but still feel scared. But I got to take a crack at this. Few minutes had passed then pfft! I need to stop the horse ride and think of other good options. I thought of swan boat rides. That sounds fun! So we went to Burnham Park to try swan ride. I felt happy just by looking at the swan boat, can I tell a secret? I’m actually scared of lakes, oceans, pools. Whenever I need to go to any major bodies of water, I pray a lot. I know it may sound stupid but hey I have phobia so you can’t blame me. Haha!

I want to make it simple, as a result I wore these black and white jeggings and tiger print muscle tee.  The jeggings is from American Apparel and the muscle tee is from Forever 21.
 I added a skull cap in burgundy and high-cut shoes with spikes from H&M.

My vacation in Philippines: Baguio day 1

Almost every year we go here for a short vacation, normally in the month of April. Just like last year before I go back to Singapore, we went in the city of pines and stayed for three days and two nights. 

Today, we went here again to celebrate my birthday. Well I think this vacation will be memorable.  The month of July is very close to my heart. It has a lot of memories like example we've acquired our dream home in this month two years ago after my 25^th birthday; Mom’s birthday is in this month as well and so on…

I remember the first time I tried horseback riding and I’m so freaking scared. I’m very scared that I almost cry. Anyway, let’s just stop there and proceed to what I’m wearing.

I always love floral prints which send a girly girl vibe and its simplicity adds glamour and sophistication. I wanted to look relaxed and effortlessly pretty so I decided to wear this floral top from H&M and gray shorts from jag jeans. The accessories I'm wearing are white gold earrings and Gold Bvlgari necklace - gifts I received from my husband 3 years ago. :)

I think the entire ensemble perfectly matched with the summer capital of the Philippines – Baguio City. 

I will give you some updates later because I will relax and enjoy for now.

Planning what to wear in Baguio City

If you have been to Baguio number of times you can attest the cold temperature of the City. It’s cold during the mornings and night. However, it may get scorching hot in the afternoon, which breaks all illusions that the City of Pines is cold all day. It is best to plan your activities that you will be cover by noon. Baguio City has an exceptional weather, these points may help you on what to wear in Baguio City.

1.       Pack a light jacket to keep you warm during the cold days in Baguio. You don’t need too thick coat as you may see people walking around in a shirt, pants and sweater.

2.       For those who don’t like to bring jackets, you may bring a scarf or shawl.

3.       During summer time March to June you may pack light clothing like summer dresses, shirts, shorts although it could still get windy in late morning.

4.       You may also want to bring hat/bonnet or cap although Baguio has a cool weather, the sun is still scorching hot in noon time.

5.       Don’t forget your sunglasses when you travel to Baguio. You need to protect your eyes from the harmful rays of the sun.

6.       Umbrella. Oh yes! Bring an umbrella. You’ll never know when it rains. I’m sure you don’t want to get wet and also this may use when the sun shines.

7.       Bring specific clothing for activities such as horseback riding, golf, paintball, biking and swimming.

8.       Make sure to wear comfortable footwear to enjoy the beautiful views of Baguio.

9.       Toiletries are essential and prescribed medications, so it should be brought along with you.

10.   Bring a camera!

Club Manila East Taytay is a great getaway destination for the whole family, barkada couples, companies or any individual seeking for a fun-filled experience.

CME is located in the municipality of Taytay, Rizal. The hotel-resort has a Funtasy Lagoon, a 9, 100 gigantic pool, jazzed up with waterfalls, kayaks and water bicycles. It also hosted a kiddie pool and two adult pools, a sun-screened pool with a three-looped 30 ft. slide. The day tour cabanas can accommodate for up to 20 persons, complete with shower and bath.

Adjacent to the Funtasy Lagoon are the 25 meter Lap Pool and the bean-shaped pool. Beach wave pool and Ocean wave pool added excitement because of its different wave heights and patterns.

When you go on the other side, you’ll see the Buzzy River, a 600-ft stream of gently flowing water wherein guests can ride their rubber tubes and go by its riverbanks through waterfalls and under bridges. You will hear a relaxing and enjoying sounds which complements the scenery.

You can fly like Superman by going extreme. Try their zip line; it is an added attraction to CME.

Neon Summer Love

This summer, temperature rises so what do you expect? Expect bolder and brighter colors that will surely uplift your mood.

It doesn't get a lot more summery-ish than bright shorts, bright top and fun accessories. These super bright shorts and top caught my attention which I got from Forever 21. I love to play colors into my outfit because it simply adds energy and cheer to my day. It adds glamour as well.

My Vacation in Philippines: Summer Saya in Bakasyunan Resort and Conference Center

If you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy with your family and friends, BAKASYUNAN RESORT AND CONFERENCE CENTER is perfect to have a vacation. The resort is located at Sitio Lawak, Brgy. Amungan, Iba, Zambales. It’s a 5 hours drive from Valenzuela City (This is the City where I live) via NLEX and SCTEX. But if you’re a formula one driver like Michael Schumacher then you can make your road trip short for 2 hours. J

You can enjoy numerous activities and amenities that this resort offers and they also have spacious function halls that are ideal for seminars, celebrations/reunions, retreats etc.  The pool is small but very clean. For the food, I would recommend you arrange a catering service with them because the place is far from the market and you’re here to relax/enjoy, right? It’s hassle-free and you save time! But I saw some tourist who brought their own food. They borrowed a grill from the resort staff for free. The grill is so f*c*ing  filthy plus I haven’t seen a stove or cooking utensils there. Anyway, I didn't went there to wake up too early to prepare breakfast, so good thing we have a caterer to assist our breakfast, lunch, merienda and dinner.

Our room is nice, clean and cozy. We got the “family beach front” room that has three queen size beds, linens, two pillows each bed, veranda, fridge, 3 mono-block chairs and a round table. The air-condition is working fine and we did not turn it off for 3 days straight. hehe!! No electric lamps in our room. My parents don’t like to sleep with lights on but I’m having a hard time to sleep in a dark room. What I did, I turn on the lights in the rest room just to have a small amount of light. We have the perfect view of the beach. Overall rating for the room is very good.

Family Beach Front Rooms

The rest room is very small. It’s just enough to fit a toilet, sink and a shower. But for me, it’s all OK as long as it has a hot and cold shower and doesn't smell bad. My rating for the rest room is very good.

WI-Fi? Yes the resort has it BUT the signal strength is POOR. Anyway, it’s OK because I didn't go there to surf the net. Haha!!

My family enjoyed our 3 days and 2 nights vacation in Bakasyunan Resort in Zambales. I'm very happy with our vacation, another good memories with my family before I go back to Singapore this June.

My Vacation in Philippines: Summer Saya in Manila Ocean Park

The summer is not yet over because I can still feel the heat here in Manila. My face is sweating like a pig at least not my UA (that’s yucky). We went in Manila Ocean Park a while ago, if not for my nephew (Gabriel Dominic) I don’t want to go here. Don’t get me wrong, I love fish and other aquatic animals but I already foresee what will happen next – chasing Gabriel all day. There’s no traffic that’s why my mom and I approached the place in no time. My nephew loves fish, he’s happy whenever we watch “Finding Nemo” every night. Take note every night. This is my most watch movie ever! As in ever! Playing over and over again when the movie comes to its end, Gabriel says “one more!” We will watch it together because he has this habit of sitting on my lap immediately before I start to go out of our room. If ever I run, he will cry and I don’t want him to cry.  From the time when I arrived here in our home from Singapore, it’s been 21 days now since we started watching Finding Nemo. By this time can you imagine how we memorized every sequence of this movie? J

We bought the package “Deep Sea Rush 5” with attractions: Oceanarium, Sea Lion Show, Marine Life Habitat, Musical Fountain Show and Jellies Exhibit. The ticket is at sale price of Php550.

This day, Gabriel met Nemo and other aquatic animals. We decided not to watch the Sea Lion Show, not to go in Marine Life Habitat and Musical Fountain Show because of excessive heat and Gabriel is a brat; Mom and I don’t have enough energy to stop Gabriel’s tantrums.

It’s a fun and exciting day indeed minus the brattiness of my nephew but its ok; we still enjoyed our mini tour. I know Gabriel will remember the little fish named Nemo he saw in the tank.

Apart from wedding, one of my favorite celebrations is birthday party. I love attending to children's parties and I feel like a child when I see clowns, colorful balloons and magic shows. 

Nowadays balloons come in different shapes and sizes and the magic show I've seen in Unah’s party execute different techniques and very entertaining.

Sugar swing!!! This 6 inch - 4 layer cake on top with cupcakes taste so good. It taste just right. Not too sweet. I’m not in a very good mood that day because of my migraine and eating sweets depends on my mood. I tried just two cupcakes since I’m anxious to get fat.

The cake table setting is so adorable plus the blue and white balloon arc adds charm - overall two thumbs up!

After the magic show, here comes the puppet show and then the bubble show. For some reasons I don’t like puppets. I feel scared with their looks and when I look at their eyes; they look so real as if they are alive – so I’m scared. And puppet show for me is tedious. Super long and its repetitive. 

On the contrary I didn't get bored because the puppet always cracking jokes. Now I love puppet shows simply because it made me smile. Having a vacation and attending to a birthday party with super nice magic/puppet shows are so much fun.
